GOOD LUCK!

So, what are all those idealistic Bernie Sanders supporters going to do when Hillary Clinton is installed as President?

While I am glad to see more young people participating in this year’s dog-and-pony show, it saddens me that their youthful enthusiasm will soon be horribly crushed. When that happens – and it will, trust me – roughly half of the population in this country will have grown up under a President named either Bush or Clinton.

I wouldn’t call that a democracy. I would call it a dynasty, or more succinctly: an oligarchy.

Change is good and I’m all for it, but unless our entire electoral system is overhauled, it simply won’t happen. The Supreme Court of the United States, in its 2000 decision to install George W. Bush as President, GEORGE W. BUSH, ET AL., PETITIONERS v. ALBERT GORE, JR., ET AL, said in its ruling that:

“The individual citizen has no federal constitutional right to vote for electors for the President of the United States unless and until the state legislature chooses a statewide election as the means to implement its power to appoint members of the Electoral College.”

So there you have it: proof that your vote doesn’t count – as determined by THE SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES, not by a bunch of communists, Muslims or anarchists. That is the decision of the highest court in the land. It is the Electoral College – not the popular vote – which decides who will be the next Commander in Chief.

Deal with it. I really think that Sanders is a good man, and I even found myself starting to feel a glimmer of hope that positive change might actually come to this country, but I had to remind myself that it’s just a tease. I’ve seen it all before.

Once again, the agenda has been set for us.

I mean, how much change can there really be considering the choices are once again only between Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum? I know there are independent candidates running somewhere but their voices will never be heard, no matter what.

So, what kind of change are we really talking about here? The system is still THE SYSTEM, and even if Sanders wins the election, I guarantee you he would quickly discover the limits of just how much can actually be changed.

The fix is already in. The powers that be are a lot smarter than any of us because they give people like me hope that a guy like Bernie Sanders has a chance of victory when they are simply manipulating the results to make it appear like it’s a close race when all along Hillary is the chosen one.

Yes, I am being cynical, but I’ve seen enough of these shambolic “elections” in my lifetime to ever get my hopes up.

Good luck to the rest of you!
