Under the cover of the Constitution and whatever civil rights we still have, the GOP – in cahoots with the religious fundamentalists – have a clearly enunciated goal of supporting male supremacy and white nationalism married to a reactionary religious / fascist theocracy. Think Nazism for the modern age: same difference only with slightly less-cool clothing. Say what you will about the SS; those HUGO BOSS uniforms were stylish!

Thus, these ‘people’ are not sick or ignorant; nay, they are quite healthy, very wealthy jingoistic bigots in positions of great power. And under the fascist system of Corporatism – which we now live under – the public is viewed as expendable.

The 1% have a very strong belief system and robust values which are essentially anti-human. The GOP and the religious right have quietly been involved in an organized holy war behind the scenes, out of the glare of the MSM. They are intentional and conscious and very well organized in their efforts.

This makes them very high-functioning sociopaths. Oh, they do have values: it’s just that their values are truly horrific. The sooner people begin to frame their thinking around this, the sooner they will begin to see that they have no choice but to engage the forces of evil in this battle.

tRump has always come across as a racist, misogynist asshole to me; which seemed to suit his voter base just fine. He is the second Republican to be appointed by the Electoral College rather than elected by the people. He does not have a mandate, and he is probably already the most hated president to pretend to serve. Let’s face it: the only thing DT serves is himself.

Apparently Republicans can no longer win a popular national vote. George W. Bush was a disaster, but tRump is a total nightmare. He’s out of his league on every level and completely unwilling to compromise or learn – because of course he already knows everything. Bigly so.

His supporters blithely ignore tRump’s profound corruption and his gross incompetence. His creepy family are all hopeless liars, swindlers and hypocrites. The rest of the world is appalled and fearful of how quickly we have degenerated into this kakistocracy; and they wonder what new outrage will come from this reckless sociopath. He could launch some kind of military aggression against North Korea or Russia or China (or simply fill in the blank _____) in order to divert our already short attention spans from his slow-motion train wreck of a presidency.

It’s a tactic that has worked well for both Demos and Repubs. tRump, though, is unique. Less than six months in office and there is already widespread disgust with his “policies” amid increasing calls for his impeachment – even by some members of his own party!

It’s fun to see all those loathsome Christian ‘conservatives’ wrestle with budgetary issues. They have no problem at all spending TRILLIONS on the utterly incompetent US military and its endless, unjustified wars which destabilize the world. Like, money is no object! Blow up a few hospitals; kill a few hundred civilians…it’s worth it, right?

But they always seem to take issue with providing health care for their own citizens. TOO EXPENSIVE, they proclaim. WE MUST BALANCE THE BUDGET, they whine. Funny how we only ever need to ‘balance the budget’ if it involves taking away vital services from the average citizen in order to fund even more tax breaks for the already rich.

Evangelical politicians happily give “feel good” platitudes and homilies about the poor and the needy – but only when campaigning for office. When it comes to actually dealing with hunger and poverty and crime…the only advice they can give is to pray it away. Christian charity has its limits…

If we are going to spend trillions of taxpayer dollars on something, I say let it be on PEOPLE…not global warmongering. We spent billions on nuclear bombs which, God willing, we’ll never have to use. Why the 2.2 trillion dollar upgrade to our stockpile of WMD’s?

Oh, right: two point two TRILLION dollars.

But it’s not as if we should be surprised. The sub-humans have said for YEARS what they would do if given the chance. tRump has given them the chance, and they are doing it. They shanghaied the electoral college to make it happen…

Inevitably, they are gonna get what they asked for. Anyone who didn’t see it coming should grab a cane and give up their driver’s license. Repubs absolutely do not know how to govern; but they do know how to lie and cheat and twist the rules to continue to reign over you. That is how tyranny works.

There is simply too much dirty money involved, thanks to Citizens United. Right-wing Think Tanks concoct all this crazy shit for low-level pols to endorse because they are too blinded by greed to do it themselves. Our laws and what few regulations we have were crafted by the corporations supposedly being regulated; not by elected officials representing the people whom they are sworn to represent.

Republicans control most of the state legislatures. Republicans control the entire federal government; all three branches. Donald Trump, a third-rate, morally bankrupt, minor television personality is now President of the United States.

Folks, it doesn’t matter what progressives want; it doesn’t matter if you think TRUMPCARE is bad, or that it will result in people dying. It doesn’t matter because most of the people who actually voted in 2016 want this – or at least they think they do. The majority of those who do bother to vote, vote for corporate rule by one of the two corporate parties. That is not going to change any time soon because only 30% of those eligible to vote ever vote at all. Even if they did, how many would vote progressive? I don’t think the odds are very good.

Until the day comes that progressives actually garner enough votes to overcome the wealth and power of the ruling parties, you might as well get used to this humiliation. The elite want austerity; they want to rule without having to pay for it; they want racism and misogyny, radical Christianity; and they want to divide and conquer the world.

It’s been a complete success story so far.
