Something which certainly won’t be discussed during the ‘Ukraine-whistleblower’ scandal is the fact that The US helped fund and coordinate the February 2014 overthrow of the legally elected government of Ukraine because it was leaning toward closer relations with its neighbor, Russia.

The U.S. instigated and supported the Ukrainian coup – which was composed of neo-Nazis – who have been provoking Russia and waging war on their own citizens in eastern Ukraine.

Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Victoria Nuland was the alleged mastermind behind the regime change in Ukraine. Transcripts of phone conversations with Ukrainian oligarchs expose her plotting the overthrow of the democratically elected government of President Viktor Yanukovych while convincing the ever-gullible U.S. mainstream media (MSM) that the coup wasn’t really a coup, but a victory for “democracy.”

Where have I heard that before?

In the Ukraine, the US got rid of the Russia-friendly government. The CIA instigated a coup-d’etat that replaced the government, which just happens to share a border with Russia and installed a NATO-friendly neo-Nazi government.

“President” tRump’s profoundly incompetent administration continues to do immense damage to America’s core institutions. The Justice Department as well as the Transportation Department and the EPA are being used to retaliate against US citizens and strip all protections on behalf of the “president.” This is the same sort of high-level federal corruption we’ve seen recently on everything from the NOAA’s defense of “sharpie gate,” to the Air Force being used to prop up a failing tRump business, and now the State Department has been caught withholding funds from Ukraine in order to pressure that country into investigating a potential tRump opponent.

Ukraine’s President Zelensky is a lame US puppet who has never really had the support of his people. But he is a comedian, so that should be a pretty big hint as to how legitimate his government is…So in order to sell this regime change (on Russia’s doorstep) to the American people as some sort of victory for freedom and democracy, the ugliness of the coup-makers had to be systematically airbrushed, particularly the key role of neo-Nazis and other ultra-nationalists in the government. For the mainstream media (MSM) propaganda campaign to work, the coup-makers had to wear white hats, not brown shirts.

For more than a year the MSM – especially The New York Times and The Washington Post – twisted their reporting into all kinds of contortions to avoid informing their readers that the new regime in Kiev was permeated by neo-Nazis and ultra-nationalists who wanted a pure-blood Ukraine, without any of those pesky ethnic Russians.

Any mention of that sordid reality was deemed “Russian propaganda” and anyone who spoke this inconvenient truth was a “Russian stooge.” It wasn’t until much later that The Times admitted the significance of the neo-Nazis and other ultra-nationalists in waging war against ethnic Russians. The Times also reported that these far-right forces had been joined by Islamic militants. Some of those jihadists have been called “brothers” of the brutal Islamic State.

Current White House spokesdemon Stephanie Grisham issued a statement denouncing the congressional hearings as “…a coordinated smear campaign from far-left lawmakers and radical unelected bureaucrats waging war on the constitution.” Wow. Absolutely nothing in that statement is true. Surprise, surprise. Welcome to Bizarro-USA.

So they got the cretin Rick Perry to take the fall (predictably), but that’s not nearly enough to appease the Dems. Let’s hope they actually do something this time.

And perhaps the dumbest thing about this sordid affair is that it turns out the whole ‘quid pro quo’ thing wasn’t even about forcing Ukraine to actually investigate Burisma’s links to Hunter Biden or the 2016 election. All tRump in his unmatched wisdom wanted was for Zelensky to go along with the charade and lie about any potential investigation. tRump’s only demand was that Zelensky announce publicly that his government (such as it is…) was investigating the matter. They didn’t really have to investigate, and tRump didn’t really care. He just wanted dirt – imaginary or not – on his closest political rival.

But “president” tRump insisted that Zelensky must step up to the microphone and announce that he has opened investigations into the Bidens, as well as the alleged 2016 election interference – or he wouldn’t get his funding.  tRump just wanted President Zelensky to be a pawn in his moronic little game so he could use this fabricated statement against Joe Biden in 2020.

Morons and cretins and traitors, oh my!

At least Zelensky wasn’t dumb enough to agree to go out on a limb for tRump and his cronies. Too many of tRump’s former lackeys have climbed onto that limb – only to have him sever it.

And like, Rudy Guiliani must be the worst fucking lawyer on the planet. He’s the only lawyer I know who needs a team of lawyers to represent him. As far as worthless scumbags go, only Alan Douchewitz is in his league.

To be fair, no lawyer with half an ounce of integrity would ever agree to represent tRump knowing that he could never under any circumstances allow his client to testify under oath. ‘Ghouliani’ appears to be the only lawyer corrupt and sleazy enough for the job. He has less integrity even than the “president,” which is sub-zero. I hope he’s getting paid up front, or more likely tRump has enough dirt on Rudy already that he has no choice but to dance with the devil in the pale moonlight.

Either way, things are about to get really interesting.
