A lot of America’s current problems began with our nation’s inevitable slide into a total capitalist society, where consumption and wealth is a means unto itself. Everything else in our society, from family to culture to geopolitical affairs – must take a back seat to overwhelming greed. In the USA, people are glorified for their wealth, not for any actual accomplishments or benefit to mankind.

The market is the new God, and it is their only religion.

Thus we end up with people willfully voting for a man whose only known attribute is being a consummate con man.

And all this talk about how the USA is “becoming” a totalitarian state is a smokescreen. We aren’t “nearing” a dictatorship. We are already there. Right now, in 2019. Most of our Constitutional rights have been secretly removed by Executive Action or simply ignored, thanks to this illegitimate, lawless junta we are currently sidled with.

And it’s past the time that mass protest could have at least limited the damage tRump has done – maybe given him a bit of pause for thought before he started throwing infants into internment camps…but it’s too late now.

I remember the days of the Civil Rights movement, the anti- Vietnam War protests, and the Equal Rights Amendment quite well. The willingness of the younger generation to speak out, to take risks on behalf of the nation, to stop a vicious, pointless war – eventually worked.

Fast forward to today and where are the protests? Now we have endless, permanent, pointless wars. Where is the outrage? Where is the concern for our fellow human beings? How many families have to deal with their son or daughter coming home with such severe PTSD they are unable to even function anymore before people stand up and DO SOMETHING about it? Twenty veterans commit suicide every day on average. This country is literally destroying its youth…

I’m incredibly saddened by the faux-progressive pacifism I see around me now. My generation is old and we are told to get out of the way. That’s fine; I’m tired. I’ve seen enough of history repeating itself and I’ve already fought those battles. But for the life of me I don’t understand why millions of young people aren’t gathering to protest in the streets, every single day.

Okay, so the authorities killed off the Occupy movement years ago because they knew that a million people occupying Lafayette Square demanding action is the only way – short of violent revolution – to bring about meaningful change in society. And our rulers plan way ahead.

When Poland recently passed a law banning abortions, a million women gathered in the streets until the law was changed.

Yes, it can happen here. It needs to happen. And no, we can’t just “vote them out.” We are headed down this dangerous path and there is nothing we can do to stop it. It is becoming clear that we are being set up for a violent revolution. They are doing everything in their power to turn the country against itself. That much is clear.

Soon there will be no choice since all legal public protests and First Amendment rights will be considered terrorist activity. The re-institution of the federal death penalty will now be used to discourage public gatherings or mass protests as they will soon be considered a federal crime.

This is probably the darkest moment in our history since the Civil War, and at this dangerous crossroads America has become a chicken-shit nation. We are terrified of everything. No wonder everyone is armed to the teeth! We think North Korea is going to fire nuclear missiles at us. We think Iran – a country literally on the other side of the planet – is going to invade and make us all Shias.

People have been cowed, broken, debased and dehumanized by a government which has nothing but contempt for its own citizens. Many Americans are terrified of anyone who isn’t white. They think legal immigration amounts to an “enemy invasion.” They’re scared shitless some migrant family is going to come squat in their homes…in Wisconsin! They recoil in fear that black people might live in their apartment complex or go shopping and try to steal something. Americans are terrified of the fucking music young people listen to; and they are horrified at the sight of a nipple on TV!

Literally half the country is afraid of democracy and they truly hate REAL freedoms. They fear art, they fear culture, they fear music, they fear information; they fear everything not explicitly covered in the fucking BuyBull.

Which is a lot. It’s filled with 2,000 year old advise…

But look: if we lose this next election, American ‘democracy’ as we knew it will be dead. We need real change, not just the exchange of power from one rich white group to another rich white group. We need to come to terms with the fact that rich people are the problem, not the solution.
