I wonder how the American mainstream media [MSM] will spin the massive air and ground assault in Gaza which will inevitably kill many innocent people; including children. Hospitals, safe havens, schools, media organizations, aid workers and UN observers will be targeted by the IDF – because the Israeli Defense Forces make no distinction between civilians and combatants.

Israeli apologists in the US will complain that this sort of thing doesn’t make Israel look good in the eyes of the world…and that’s about it.

Nothing will be done to stop it. The world will just have to sit back and wait until Israel is ready to end the massacre.

Currently, America doesn’t even have a fucking ambassador to Israel! That’s how serious we are about this whole ‘middle east’ situation. Like what are we gonna do about it? Leave it the fucking Egyptians to solve this crisis? France? Iran?

How far we have fallen…

At least there are a few decent politicians in the USA who still have those rare attributes once whimsically referred to as ‘morals’ ‘ethics’ and ‘integrity.’

Democratic House members Marie Newman, Cori Bush, Chuy Garcia, Mark Pocan, Rashida Tlaib, Andre Carson, Betty McCollum, Debbie Dingell, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar have all recently shared social media posts expressing solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

Note the glaring absence of progressive kingpin Elizabeth Warren from that list. Bernie Sanders finally jumped onboard late last week…

And isn’t it funny how the only Democrats with any guts appear to exclusively be women, or men of color…and most of them are from the Chicago area…

Hmmm, right on, but WTF? I mean, I’m a Chicago native, so I get it – but why is it that the only true progressives left in the country are from the mid-west?

Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin are represented by decent human beings. Why aren’t truly diverse states like California, New York or New Mexico on the list, too?

But of course, the chaos in Israel and the occupied territories has been greeted with angry yawns by the corporate media in this country.

When the MSM covers it – for all of 8 seconds or less on the nightly news – the coverage is so blatantly biased and one sided towards Israel’s apartheid regime that quaint terms like “Orwellian” pale in comparison when confronted by the shameless, jaw dropping bias.

ABC, NBC, CNN, FOX: Umerkins are never given any context to explain the carnage in the Middle East. We’re never given any reasons why violence ever occurs in the occupied territories, other than basically, “Those big bad Palestinians are up to something…”

No mention of the weeks of provocation by the ultra-right wing Israeli government. Nothing about the forceful removal of Palestinian families from their ancestral lands.

Nope!

We get lots of quotes from Israeli military spokesmen, and lots of eyewitness testimony from ‘terrified’ Israeli citizens who were forced to hide in their local bomb shelters during the missile attacks or whatever…but of course we are never told that Palestinian citizens don’t have the luxury of bomb shelters…or any shelter at all, really. When those tanks start rolling in there’s nowhere to hide.

On Wednesday, Military-Industrial Complex spokesman Joe Biden conferred with Israel’s maniacal, illegitimate leader Benjamin Netanyahu by telephone. He expressed hope that the recent increase in violence would end soon. For no apparent reason the bewildered bureaucrat told the press, “My expectation and hope is this will be closing down sooner than later…but Israel has a right to defend itself!” Biden was quick to add…as all Umerkin politicians are required to do by law…

But Biden had no explanation or rationale for his misplaced optimism. It was basically wishful thinking. Netanyahu’s office said that Israel would “continue acting to strike at the military capabilities of Hamas and the other terrorist groups active in the Gaza Strip.”

Biden patronizingly emphasized the need to “de-escalate” tensions. Way to go!

Back in the good old days, American told Israel what to do. Now Israel tells us what it’s going to do!

Joltin’ Joe actually had the gall to claim that there hadn’t been a ‘significant overreaction’ by Israel to the Hamas rocket attacks, even thought that is clearly the case. And Zionists Ted Deutch and Debbie Wasserman Schultz predictably railed in support of Israel’s bullshit ‘right to defend her citizens’ while the slaughter of Palestinian citizens continues unabated.

But Rep. Ilhan Omar correctly pointed out that “Instead of condemning blatant crimes against humanity and human rights abuses, many members of Congress have instead fallen back on a blanket statement defending Israel’s airstrikes against civilians under the guise of self-defense.”

Palestinian-Umerkin congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, who has been critical of Israeli policy in the past, questioned the US government’s ‘unconditional support’ for Israel in a speech and – often tearing up as she spoke – accused Israel of being an ‘apartheid state.’

Thank you!

Meanwhile, US secretary of state Tony Blinken – another Zionist and a blatant supporter of Israel’s apartheid state – condemned the rocket attacks – but not the Israeli aggression, of course – during a call to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday.

President Abbas is a rival of HAMAS – the group Israel claims to be fighting – and he definitely does not speak for them. Abbas has limited control over what goes on in the occupied territories. Yet he is their GO-TO guy…because everyone is too afraid to talk directly to HAMAS, I guess. Sad.

Spokesmen for the military Junta which currently occupies the White House only ever refer to the need for BOTH SIDES to use “restraint” in these situations. The USA is conspicuously NOT INVOLVED in any peaceful negotiations to end the conflict or achieve a cease-fire…because, look: there are plenty more weapons to be sold to both sides.

When your entire foreign policy is based on selling as many weapons of mass destruction as possible…this is what happens. The USA isn’t interested in solving this crisis or negotiating peace anywhere in the world. Not anymore.

The entire focus of the MSM and the US diplomatic corps is basically to try and make Israel look good now. Don’t expect any US brokered peace accords any time soon.

The irony of this being such a ONE SIDED conflict never seems to make it into the US reporting. Amid reports that Egyptian mediators were attempting to broker a deal to end the slaughter, genocidal Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said, “Israel is not preparing for a ceasefire. There is currently no end date for the operation. Only when we achieve complete quiet can we talk about calm…”

Meaning the bloodshed will continue. For how long, god only knows…
