If historians really want to understand why Umerkins are so fucking retarded and easily duped by disinformation and “fake news,” they need to look no further than what happened in 1987 when “president” Ronnie Raygun’s treasonous administration killed off the Fairness Doctrine.

Introduced in 1949, the Fairness Doctrine was a policy created by the Federal Communications Commission which required the holders of broadcast licenses to present controversial issues of public importance to Umerkins in a manner that was “honest, equitable and balanced.”

Of course this state of affairs could not be allowed to continue forever and we know from experience that the Elite always plan for the long haul. Somehow, those three words [honest, equitable, balanced] had to be removed from anything even remotely related to Umerkin society.

With the installation of the Raygun regime, Our Rulers were finally able to check that box, and the FCC abolished the Fairness Doctrine in 1987. Up until that time, Umerkin media corporations had been required to at least pretend to be somewhat objective in how they presented news, and they were forced to report on issues of national and local importance. With the stroke of a pen, those requirements – as well as any obligation to report truthfully – were quietly removed.

The US propaganda machine hasn’t been required to truthfully inform its own people for almost 40 years now. It is not bound by law or by regulation to report on anything of any significance, ever again. Thus, we have the promotion of ‘infotainment’ and ‘fluffery’ to the detriment of anything truly relevant or important.

Within a year of rescinding the Fairness Doctrine, Rush Limbaugh’s noxious radio program became a national phenomenon. Soon the show’s toxic blend of half-truths, hate speech and racist tropes was being touted as a valid counterpoint to the world of ‘Political Correctness.’

Nowadays violent, racist, hate speech, abusive trolling, fake news and aggressive disinformation are part of everyday life in the USA. No wonder people are so fucking angry, sad, and utterly clueless.
