The fallback position of fascists and Nazis is always to create an imaginary enemy. In this case let’s call them the “Alt-left” and then let’s blame them for protesting against the Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Let’s blame them for having the shit beaten out of them and for getting in the way of that speeding car.

It’s the old fascist canard of false equivalence.

This way, the Nazis can deflect the blame from their own evil acts by generously sharing it with a nonexistent strawman. Of course the White Supremacists only need to hold this defensive position long enough to weather the storm. Once it passes they can go back to their ‘Good Ole Boy’ practice of smashing skulls and kicking ass and gloating about it on their hate sites contaminating the Internet.

America has become a huge Nazi monster in the eyes of the world; a nation of bullies who would rather kill everyone than coexist peacefully. But we are not just global whores for money and power and oil. We are global pariahs polluting the planet with hate and fear in our hearts. We are the destroyers of all that is righteous and beautiful, and history will judge this empire very harshly indeed.

America has zero redeeming social values at this moment in time.

Who among us can be proud of having so much innocent blood on our hands? Who are these flag-sucking half-wits who get fooled time and time again by stupid rich kids like George W Bush and Donald tRump? They’re the same GOOD CHRISTIANS who wanted Muhammad Ali locked up for refusing to kill gooks. They speak for all that is cruel and stupid and vicious in the American character.

Nearly half a million Americans gave their lives to defeat fascism in Europe and Asia, and now the president of the United States will happily stand up and defend everything they fought against. This country allows Nazis to walk the streets because in a twisted way they believe it is some kind of display of ‘free speech.’ We let fully armed and militarized ‘militia’ wander around with loaded assault rifles because “It’s in the Constitution.” As if they’ve ever actually read the fucking thing. If it wasn’t so sad and dangerous, it would be funny. But hey, at least THEY HAD A PERMIT, right?

Donald tRump isn’t all of a sudden a Nazi sympathizer, either. He was already a racist, sexist antisemite Nazi lover long before he even ran for office. Unfortunately, too many people have been resistant to the very obvious fact that tRump is a bonafide fascist. It doesn’t help that the media has been complicit in helping his White Trash supporters re-brand themselves under the catchy new name “Alt-right.” Yuck.

When you watch tRump’s press conference from last Monday – the day he read the prepared statement which clearly didn’t represent his actual views – for once it looked as if he had to be dragged kicking & screaming to the podium. He obviously did not believe one word of the carefully crafted statement he was forced to read. Trump is a sociopath and a bigot, and sadly he is surrounded by even bigger sociopaths. It’s scary.

Beyond his hilariously awkward body language, the robotic voice – to the point of self-parody – seemed to be some sort of secret message to his followers. His constant blinking appeared to be Morse Code: “Do not worry. I condone the acts of my club carrying, torch-bearing Nazi Bros, and you know it,” wink, wink…

The day before, he’d said that there were “Good people on both sides” of the protest, thus giving his virtual presidential approval to the Alt-right rally where swastikas were publicly displayed, Nazi salutes were given and people shouted antisemitic slogans.

John Kelly must be shitting bricks. If he had one ounce of self-respect he’d be sprinting for the exits right now. Careers are going to be ruined by this sordid affair, and no one who stands with Agent Orange will walk away untarnished. No one.

Only one side was in Charlottesville to promote violence and hatred. What did the cops expect the counter protestors to do, join hands and sing ‘Kumbaya’ when confronted by an armed militia geared up for battle with helmets, shields, baseball bats and guns? When tyrants like tRump emerge around the world, it is not uncommon for hate groups to become the illegitimate paramilitary arm of the ruling despot. Before you know it, the state has lost its monopoly on violence completely. This situation can unravel very quickly if steps are not taken immediately to quell the violence.

We are talking about actual Nazis here, too, so this is significant. We’re not talking about different political viewpoints. There is no “other side” to this debate. Nazis hate you and they want to kill you. This is not a joke.

If you see a Nazi, you don’t walk over to them and offer them a flower. You don’t shake their hand and say, “How do you do?”

If you see a Nazi, the only correct response is to PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE!

And I’m a stone-cold pacifist, too. Punch them in the face! Just saying.

No one should be surprised that tRump disavowed his statement on the Charlottesville riot that he was shamed into giving the previous day. He knows full well that the Nazis and extremists are the very people who embraced his style of fear campaigning; his vilification of minorities and his over-the-top criticism of any news reporting discrediting his activities as ‘fake news.’ These cretins helped put him in the White House. He cannot afford to lose their rabid support this early in his Presidency – they are pretty much all he’s got left – hence his lame attempt to place blame on those opposing his supporters, as much as the supporters themselves.

tRump represents everything that is wrong with America, and his elevation to the Presidency has taken the Ugly American from the shadows to center stage.

This can’t end well.
