The country is dangerously unprepared to fight the spread of COVID-19 as the morons flock to beaches, parks, bars and restaurants with minimal protection and no federal guidance for the Memorial Day holiday. After the break, millions of Umerkins will be forced to work in unsafe conditions – in many cases against their will.

The tRump “administration” has essentially given up even trying to contain the novel coronavirus, and they’ve conceded that there is no comprehensive plan to stop the spread or increase testing or tracking until they can find a way for the tRump crime family to profit from it.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t a shitload of people willing to risk everyone’s life just so they can get drunk with their buddies in an enclosed public space. These are the Trumpanzees who aren’t quite clever enough to understand the concept of the “public good” or that the “public good” might mean allowing a society to utilize its best experts to help craft public policy instead of morally bankrupt demagogues.

I’ve come to the point where I would be perfectly okay if such people where no longer allowed to exist in our society. They are the FOX News crowd; the hard-core Libertarians and such – and they are destroying the quality of life for the rest of us as the US devolves into a third world country where common sense is considered “fake news.”

The terrible irony of the peculiarly Umerkin form of capitalism – especially since the advent of Reaganomics – is that it has penalized and exploited the vast majority of workers they’re now calling “essential” while inordinately protecting and rewarding that small minority of inessential inheritors and antisocial corporations and financiers/bankers who feast on the inequalities and inequities of an economic system based on Social Darwinism.

Elsewhere around the world, legitimate governments are providing generous income support to most citizens during this crisis. France, the UK, and even the hardest hit countries like Spain and Italy have some sort of income support for workers laid off during the crisis. But you’ll never hear about it, thanks to our state-controlled propaganda. Many European countries are cushioning the impact of the crisis by employing a system pioneered in Germany and Austria called Kurzarbeit (“short-time working”) which is basically a form of wage subsidy.

The problem is of course that Umerkins are never allowed to have any context for why they are so fucked, and they never get a chance to fully grasp how much worse off we are than the rest of the world. We aren’t allowed to see the level of contempt the USA has for its own citizens…which is on a par with pariah nations such as Brazil, the Philippines, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

While the Senate squabbles over the latest “stimulus” bill – and BTW the GOP will not pass any new legislation which doesn’t give blanket immunity from lawsuits brought by workers infected with the virus after being forced back to work – the rest of the world can simply afford to stay at home with family and wait it out.

But no stimulus bill will pass without those anti-worker provisions, of course…Our Rulers refuse to have any liability for dead workers. And the Dems will eventually back down anyway, as they always do.

Umerkins are never allowed to understand why so many of our fellow citizens have no choice but to go back to work at their miserable, low-paying, unsafe job and put everyone’s health at risk simply because they need to pay the bills.

Umerka is the only so-called “advanced” nation which doesn’t give all of its workers – including low-paying fast food workers and such – some form of paid sick and annual leave. Not here. No way, no how. Thanks to this travesty of justice, many good people have been forced to work when they should stay home.

Our neighbors to the north can afford to stay home indefinitely. Every Canadian citizen is entitled to TWO THOUSAND bucks a month…that’s per person, PER MONTH.

At best, Umerkins were supposed to get that super-awesome, ONE TIME check for twelve hundred dollars…which barely covers a week’s worth of rent, groceries and utilities for most families. That was supposed to happen, but guess what? If you owe any creditors or student loans the government can garnish all of it.

They say there might be another stimulus check coming at some point, but a lot of people I know still haven’t even received the first one yet…

And few people are collecting unemployment benefits because the unemployment offices have been overwhelmed with claims; and the money’s tight.

The coronavirus fallout has also been especially bad in the USA because Umerka is the only industrialized nation lacking anything close to universal healthcare. Families are reluctant to see doctors or go to emergency rooms for fear of racking up huge medical bills.

When regressive states like Wisconsin recently overturned the lockdown orders, thousands of desperate, lonely morons immediately flocked to the bars  and nightclubs for the opportunity to die just to hang out in a crowded space with a bunch of smelly old white trash: that’s freedom Umerkin style!

And so the Democrats leave it up to fucking Barack Obama to finally call out The Despot…just the guy to whip up tRump’s base into a racist, nigger-hatin’ frenzy! It should be obvious that this, too, is another set up.

Where is the chorus of voices screaming for tRump to be removed from office? He’s personally responsible for the deaths of thousands of people. I don’t see a whole lot of outrage from any Dems. They’ve allowed tRump to purge the government of competent employees even though they have the right to oppose every single retaliatory firing and illegal power grab…but so far they have refused. The Dems could have opposed the appointment of “tRump loyalist” John RATcliffe as Director of National Intelligence, for one thing. Now we’re stuck with that fucking psycho for the next god knows how many years. Oh, the Dems are skeptical he won’t be the partisan hack he clearly is. How quaint.

It doesn’t appear that they are working too hard to try and stop the GOP from dismantling our democracy. They would be protesting every petty firing and NOT approving every fucking crony appointee if they were actually even pretending to be an “opposition” party anymore. It’s almost as if they’re reading from the same script…

Oh, well. Soon tRump will be hailed as the hero who gave the world the COVID-19 vaccine and lo, the vaccine will be regaled as the tRUMP-CINE and everyone will be forced to take it…because it will contain the super-duper mind-control microchip, and of course tRumpCo will own the rights to it…and everyone will be happy…and then, Ragnarok.

One can only hope.
