There is one thing I really hate: hypocrisy.

Former president Barack Obama is a fine one to talk about protests. Obama recently spoke at an event sponsored by the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, a program of the Obama Foundation, called Re-imagining Policing in the Wake of Continued Police Violence.

Obama said shit like,

“I hope that you…feel hopeful even as you may feel angry because you have the potential to make things better and you have helped to make the entire country feel as if this is something that’s gotta change. You’ve communicated a sense of urgency that is as powerful and as transformative as anything that I’ve seen in recent years.”

Hmmm. Funny thing that. I seem to recall something called OCCUPY WALL STREET back in 2011. The same OCCUPY WALL STREET that President Obama summarily – and in some cases brutally – crushed. Obama suppressed the OCCUPY WALL STREET protests which were breaking out across the country, with the help of his right hand Uncle Tom Attorney General Eric Holder, who ironically enough also attended the Re-imagining Policing event.

Obama went on, with absolutely no hint of shame:

“This is a not an either/or. This is a both/and. To bring about real change, we both have to highlight a problem and make people in power uncomfortable. But we also have to translate that into practical solutions and laws.”

Sorta like OCCUPY WALL STREET…the grass-roots protest movement you killed? OK, got it, thanks.

“There is a change in mindset that’s taking place, a greater recognition that we can do better. And that is not a consequence of speeches by politicians … that’s a direct result of the activities and organizing and mobilization and engagement of so many young people.”

I dunno, I hate to beat a dead protest movement, but what about OCCUPY WALL STREET? I will never forgive or forget that moment in time when I felt hope and optimism that maybe OCCUPY WALL STREET was the beginning of something better…something transformative and powerful. Oh, well. Silly me for having hope.

Fucking hypocrites. Eric Holder needs to be punched in the dick and Obama should just shut the hell up about the George Floyd protests. He’s only going to rile up all of tRump’s racist supporters to commit more hate crimes against black people at this point.

But maybe that’s the plan.
