Its’ all fine and dandy to bitch and moan about the terrible loss of life in Ukraine and whatnot, but like, where was all this global indignation when the USA invaded Iraq and laid their entire country to waste?

And god forbid we mention Afghanistan.

Iraq and Afghanistan are literally on the other side of the world. They were never a threat to this country.

Why can’t we ever talk about the ongoing crisis we created in Iraq? They still haven’t recovered from the permanent destruction we caused to their country. We destroyed their infrastructure, decimated their economy, stole their oil and left the nation in tatters. What’s left of Iraqi society is riven by sectarian violence, massive unemployment, factionalism and religious strife.

The same thing is happening right now in Afghanistan. Thanks to our good friends at the CIA and the Pentagon we have another humanitarian crisis on our hands. But we don’t get to talk about that; the ONLY humanitarian crisis on earth right now is in Ukraine, don’t you know…

It sure would be nice if people remembered shit. Or cared about history, or facts, or reality…or any of that important stuff…but alas…

Funny how the world didn’t clamor to impose any sort of economic sanctions on the USA after our illegal invasion of a “sovereign nation” back in 2003…even though Iraq under Saddam posed absolutely no threat to the United States.

But Ukraine is right on Russia’s fucking border! NATO [the USA, really…] wants to put nuclear missiles on Ukrainian soil. We don’t get to think about that reality, let alone bring it up in public. Not even to our faux-progressive friends. Oh, no, to them that Putin guy is just plain evil. Yep. End of argument.

He doesn’t have a right to defend his country. Only WE can do that…proactively, even!

Take a look back at how the propaganda machine went into high gear to cover up all of America’s war crimes while cheering on the senseless slaughter in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. Don’t forget there was no plan for post-invasion Iraq. We illegally invaded a country we knew nothing about with no plans for occupation.

Anarchy still reigns in that utterly broken country, but you know, they’re just dirty brown people who probably don’t worship our god, so they don’t count as much as all those hot Ukrainian chicks.

Because you know, blue eyed tears matter more.

Like, all of a sudden everyone in the USA is so totally AGAINST WAR. Oh my, such a horrible, horrible tragedy in Ukraine! We must stop the madness!

Suddenly it’s all, “We are fundamentally opposed to war and violence and civilian casualties?!” WTF?

Are you kidding me? Never. Never in a million years did the military junta that runs this country ever give a shit about any of that. Shareholders demand a return on their investment: the point is to sell more weapons, not to “win” or “lose” any of these little conflicts. We don’t do that anymore. It makes no difference who wins or loses as long as the War Machine continues to profit.

Such hypocrisy coming from the most hyper-militarized, war mongering nation on earth to be screaming about the human tragedy of this terrible, pointless war in Ukraine!! It pains me.

We live in a fucking AUTHORITARIAN POLICE STATE, okay? Why do Americans think we can preach about ‘democracy?’

The USA has already sold a whole bunch more weapons of mass destruction to Ukraine and other NATO allies since this crisis began, so the Military-Industrial Complex is certainly happy about this awful, tragic war. Military stocks are going through the roof! Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, GE…they’re all literally making a killing while the killing is good.

Gosh, so I guess we can never bring up Afghanistan or Iraq or Yemen or Israel any of that horrible, tragic, pointless violence the USA enables on a daily basis, right?

It’s sad and pathetic and hypocritical for virtually EVERYONE on earth to be jumping aboard this ANTI-WAR band wagon, when this country is permanently at war – every day, all around the world.

The US government is at war with its own people, for Christ’s sake. WE FUCKING LOVE WAR IN UMERKA. Let’s not kid ourselves.

Endless war is the engine that drives our economy.

All those ‘progressive’ Democrats and all of those musicians and artists and Hollywood ‘liberals’ are so sad and angry about this massive humanitarian crisis! They want to do something to help those poor Ukrainians. Oh, my! Not a fucking word about Iraq. Not a word about the plight of the Palestinians or the Afghans or any of those little African countries like Chad and Sudan – that people care even less about…not if they still want a career, that is.

Nope. Apparently, being a ‘progressive’ means not really being all that progressive anymore. Critical thinking – REAL critical thinking – is actively discouraged.

Wait! I know! Hey, everybody! Let’s put on a show! 

I’m sure we’ll be hearing about a ‘Concert for Ukraine’ or some such nonsense soon to raise money to help ease the pain of all those poor blue-eyed blond Nordic people. Bet on it.

You can also put your money on there NOT being a ‘Concert for Afghanistan’ any time soon.

And in order to show their pretend outrage over Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, evil American corporations like PepsiCo, KFC, Starbucks McDonald’s, Coca Cola and Burger King have temporarily halted business in Russia.  

LIKE THIS IS A BAD THING!? Seriously? Oh, those poor Russians! We should be so lucky. If only they’d suspend operations here we could save all the mindless drones the trouble of paying seven dollars for a cup of coffee – and maybe half of our fucking population wouldn’t be OBESE!

That’ll learn ’em: no more toxic, unhealthy fast food for you, Russkies! No more crappy, over-priced coffee!

And as an added bonus they won’t be forced to have moronic western culture crammed down their throats: Netflix, Levi’s, Burberry and Ikea have also halted business in the country. Morals and ethics you know…

So, are we going to stop buying Saudi Arabian now oil because of the decades-long genocide that horrible country has caused in Yemen? What about all of their other human rights abuses, the public be-headings, or their appalling treatment of women? Mohammed bin Salman is one of the most evil people on the planet. We sell him a shitload of weapons. Morals and ethics, my ass…

When are US corporations going stop doing business with the vile government of Israel for all of their myriad war crimes, and for creating an Apartheid state which systematically denies the rights of Palestinians? I will believe in a fair and just world when that fucking happens.

And when can we start boycotting American corporations for the many terrible humanitarian catastrophes we’ve caused all over the world for the last seventy years? Sign me up for that!

I mean, you know…if we’re so concerned about humanity and all that.
