While I have not seen the film and god knows I never will, needless to say it’s an utter piece of crap. Tailored for the absolute lowest common denominator, TOP GUN: MAVERICK is a shamelessly jingoistic, nationalistic piece of propaganda masquerading as “entertainment.” Every character is a one-dimensional, hilariously obvious stereotype – which even the retarded unwashed masses in the USA can instantly relate to. The plot – if one exists – could have been conceived and written by a 12-year old. TOP GUN: MAVERICK’s only real purpose is to serve as a slick, not-so-subtle recruiting tool for the US Military-Industrial Complex.
