Unfortunately for the vast majority of Umerkins, the primary purpose of the healthcare system in the USA is to make money. This is why it is keen to spread its tentacles outside the US – to drive growth and profit for the shareholders.
Your job means everything in the Umerka, and that concept takes precedence over everything else. This is why taking a yearly vacation with the family is not viewed as important anymore: you’re not keeping the treadmill moving if you take time off; not pulling your weight. Taking time off is somehow seen as a weakness.
No job, no healthcare…because you are unworthy…
Sadly, a large percentage of Umerkins don’t want to see anyone getting any hand-outs from the evil government, either, especially if the people receiving them are black, brown, Democrats, or, most-importantly, NOT THEM.
Umerkins are on average too dumb to have the nice things that the rest of the civilized world already enjoy, and there’s no sign that this is getting better; rather, it’s pretty obviously getting worse.
The Right-Wing in the USA has very cleverly repackaged their dislike of progressive policies by labeling anyone who shows empathy for others as “Woke.” Unfortunately, many of the under-educated masses who would benefit from these policies take the bait hook, line and sinker.
Another education FAIL.
Free healthcare – including free medication for chronic conditions such as Diabetes – should be a basic human right. However, we all know that the USA is not exactly a ‘socially conscious’ society. Too many of our citizens don’t appear to care that there is a growing underclass of extremely vulnerable people. There is no shame in this attitude either; many Umerkins appear to be openly proud of it. Just look at the current GOP.
Democracy is about economic equality; the right for everyone to earn a decent living at whatever level without the being exploited by others. Capitalist corporatism is a doctrine diametrically opposed to that through its ultimate goal of exploitation in pursuit of profits for the shareholders at the expense of other things that really matter to humanity.
Such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness…
