Every single “policy” devised by Team Trump will prove disastrous: cutting corporate taxes even further; repealing the Affordable Care Act; favoring coal over renewable energy; gutting the EPA, the FDA the NEA and the State Dept; pulling out of the Paris Climate Accords – all of these things will be a disaster for mankind.

But they won’t necessarily prove to be disastrous in the short term. They will be slow-ticking time bombs, and it could take years for the effects to be felt; by which time a successor will have been installed to take over and clean up the mess Trump created. Or not.

Once Trump is out of office and the US is unable to deal with some inevitable global disaster because our evil ‘Big Government’ has shed most of its employees, everything will certainly be blamed on the Democrats.

When the coal jobs don’t come back because the civilized world is implementing renewable energy technologies, the coal belt will blame Trump’s successor, asking, “Why haven’t they done something to bring back the jobs?”

When what’s left of US manufacturing goes down the tubes because of Trump’s desire to be a protectionist and engage in trade wars he can’t win, it will be his successors – not the man responsible – who will be blamed.

While the rest of world moves to collectively reduce carbon emissions by implementing renewable energy and investing heavily in new technologies, US citizens will be asking themselves why their electricity is so expensive, and why they have to buy Chinese and Indian solar panels and pay through the nose for technology from patents and intellectual property owned by the Japanese and Koreans and Chinese and Germans and French and all the other early adopters and creators. They won’t blame tRump: they’ll blame foreigners. Or Obama. Or Hillary.

Trump’s core supporters will be hurting in a few years. Far more than they’ve ever hurt before, once their healthcare is taken from them. Public services will be slashed to give the top 1% more tax cuts while jobs continue to be off-shored as corporations seek ever more profits through automation and using the cheapest possible human labor. These same global parasites will avoid paying any taxes and continue to shift their profits to the Caymans and the Bahamas.

Trump’s base will be hurt not only by the reduced services, but also because the tax burden will continue to be forced onto their shoulders. And when these people are really, really hurting, they’ll look for scapegoats and they’ll look for a savior to deliver them. They won’t blame themselves for voting in the charlatan who caused all the damage in the first place.  Oh, no. That would mean taking responsibility for one’s actions. That sure as hell ain’t gonna happen.

Meanwhile, another supposedly ‘moderate Democrat’ Bilderberger will show up, promising to fix everything once and for all. But of course all of this will cost money: taxpayer’s money. And that’s when the GOP will once again step in and accuse whoever it is of being a commie socialist lefty traitor. And thus the cycle will begin again: tax cuts for corporations, reduction in public services, gutting of essential programs…Sigh.

Democrats have abandoned the working class due to the influence of unprecedented amounts of corporate money pouring into American politics. Much like the pharmaceutical-grade cocaine flowing into the President’s brain.

The lack of a truly progressive choice in US politics has been a scandal for decades. Ever wonder why Obama couldn’t pass a single-payer healthcare bill that would benefit the working man immeasurably, even with a filibuster-proof super-majority? Three words: Blue. Dog. Democrats.

Judging by the low percentage of people who actually own a passport, a lot of Americans have never left the country (not even to visit Canada or Mexico) and they have no grasp of geopolitics or how the shifting global economic markets have radically changed the way this country relates to the rest of the world. Still, Americans who do venture forth seem to have a pretty pitiful grasp of much of anything, anyway, so the odds are stacked against them learning anything more than what they don’t already don’t know.

Add to that the truly wretched state of America’s MSM, and considering how many of these people appear to rely on fat, angry blowhards as their primary source of information, this is what you get: a regressive society filled with angry cretins stuck at the bottom of the barrel with no escape. They are vaguely aware they’re getting screwed by the powers that be in a corrupt system, and they are desperate for any kind of change – even a dangerous, irrational change.

It doesn’t matter to them that America can’t compete with China, or that the world is moving away from fossil fuels, or that the price of oil is collapsing. Traditional manufacturing models no longer apply and Asian and Indian labor is much cheaper to outsource. None of these blunt realities matter to Americans – they just want to Make America Great Again, and they need an ‘Other’ to blame for the way things are: be they Clintons, Obamas, Muslims, gays, Liberals, Europeans, Foreigners, Mexicans, the Hollywood elite or whatever.

Their lot will suffer the most without healthcare: women’s support systems gone, sex education de-funded and insurance premiums hiked. All of this will just make them double-down and support Trump even more. Nothing gets through to these people – nothing! They are to be pitied, not mocked or insulted.

But here is the brutal reality: those people live shitty lives because they’re ignorant, angry, sore losers. They are diabetic, obese, up to their eyeballs in debt and they’re mean as fuck. And they’re armed to the teeth…

They may have had some bad luck, but look: EVERYBODY has bad luck and not everyone reacts by stumbling through life mired in ignorance and poverty, bitching about what everyone else has got. There’s an element of choice here as well. It’s not those lazy welfare queens stealing food stamps who are gaming the system.

Trump supporters blame everybody but themselves and their own lack of education and drive for all of their perceived problems. They already blame fake news and immigrants and foreigners and scientists and liberals and city folk, and they banded together in 2016 to elect the biggest loser they could possibly find – a fuhrer who will fix all their problems for them – because they lack the intelligence and initiative to fix them themselves (so much for that rugged ‘Merican individuality…) tRump played into that and they swallowed it hook, line and sinker. Surprise!

Now the country is being pulled down to the level of the lowest of common denominators. Policy is being set to placate people who can’t think their way out of a paper bag. America’s law makers have lost their ability to think critically. They believe the best way to deal with a problem is to ignore it until Jesus comes along on his shining unicorn and waves his magic wand to make their miserable lives all better.
