SMOKE GETS IN YOUR SMOKEY EYE

The GOP literally can’t take a joke.

All the faux controversy over Michelle Wolf’s recent comments (“jokes”) at the White House Correspondents’ annual dinner roast appear to confirm the simple fact that Republicans have absolutely no sense of humor. Never mind irony

It looks like we’ve just found out who the ‘snowflakes’ really are. The big, spoiled sociopaths can’t take a fucking joke; oh no they can’t. So the party of misogynists, Nazis, pedophiles and an incompetent, moron “president” can’t take a few jokes, huh?

I am shocked.

Shocked I tell you.

Apparently, the GOP all of a sudden doesn’t understand the concept of a ROAST. See, the whole idea is to poke fun at whoever is being roasted. And then the ‘roastee’ gets to have a final word at the end of the dinner. That’s how it works. Don’t tell me these people aren’t old enough to remember all those crappy late-night ‘Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts’ with the likes of Johnny Carson, Don Rickles, Sammy Davis, Jr., Ed McMahon, Redd Foxx, etc…?

They certainly can’t pretend these are supposed to be solemn affairs.

The tradition at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner is that the President gets roasted by media reps and then he gives a speech and roasts some of his critics as well, which gives the event some balance. Too bad tRump is too thin-skinned and insecure to take a joke; and he’s too much of a psychopath to tell one. His personality disorder is painfully clear when he tries to be funny.

Obama was a masterclass at the Correspondents’ Dinners when he was President. He was able to hold his own and give back as much as he took. And apparently he was pretty damn funny.

Trouble is, tRump’s too much of a thin-skinned coward to show up since he got the job.

Former FBI director James Comey noted in his book that he never heard tRump laugh. He also correctly observed that the absence of a sense of humor is a serious character flaw; particularly for someone in a position of power. The inability to laugh at oneself is a sign of immaturity. It’s a symptom of a sociopathic personality.

Throughout history the thing which despots and dictators have hated most of all is ridicule and disrespect from their “subjects.”

Rule #1 in a dictatorship: never humiliate the dictator! Right?

The best humor is funny because it exposes serious issues with a good solid punch line. Comedy is a vehicle to articulate Truths which others can’t speak. The GOP and their ilk don’t have the same weapons at their disposal because they have very little truth on which to base their punch lines, as it were. They have to resort to lies and name-calling for their “jokes.”

What Michelle Wolf said is based on the truth, and that’s why the Republicans are so bitterly angry. Truth is anathema to the entire GOP milieu.

I say we need to continue to ridicule them and expose them for the ghastly charlatans and self-centered demons they are…at every single opportunity.

“…When they go low, we go high!” – remember that pretentious rubbish? Look at how well that worked out for everyone. The world needs more Michelle Wolfs now more than ever. If only we had another George Carlin or Bill Hicks! Lee Camp is about as close as I’ve seen in Umerka…on Russian Television…

There is a certain irony in that tRump himself routinely throws personal insults and slurs at people on a daily basis – but he’s too chicken-shit to attend this prestigious, annual event himself. So instead he runs for the safety of a staged rally where he can rant about himself and how amazing he is, while his staff go to the dinner and take the roasting for him.

So, what about Wolf’s First Amendment rights, anyway, GOP? Those come BEFORE the lousy Second Amendment.

While Michelle Wolf may not have been particularly funny, at least she spoke out. She deserves our full support. She just needs to work on her delivery a bit. The criticism leveled against Wolf really just further demonstrates the hypocrisy of the ‘political correctness’ narrative of the One Percent. They are only too happy to proselytize to everyone else about what is ‘correct’ and ‘true’ and most importantly – who the ‘Snowflakes’ are.

Funny how I don’t hear any of that “Oh, well, I disagree with what she said but I’ll defend her right to say it” bullshit from the GOP here. No, the talk is only about how offended and shocked everyone was. Fuck those people. Soon they’ll be implementing ways to censor and silence and punish and squash the dissent in her speech.

What is truly offensive is the way Sanders stood in front of the press corps at the White House and said that every woman who ever called out tRump for rape, assault or harassment was lying. Imagine how devastated those women must have felt!

The level of press deference to Sarah Huckleberry Hound Sanders, who routinely defends tRump’s lies and slurs with barely a detectable blink or pause, should clearly mark her out as a target of scorn and ridicule. I’m almost amazed that parts of the Umerkin press are now defending the woman who treats them with such disdain. Almost.

Wolf said this about ‘Colonel’ Sanders:

“Like…she burns facts, and then she uses the ash to create a perfect smokey eye…”

That’s offensive to people? WTF?

Sarah Whatever-Sanders is an apologist for tRump’s inexcusable behavior towards women. Wolf’s comments were well deserved. At least Obama had the courage to attend his own roast. He also had the guts and grace to do black tie stand-up. He gets a lot of credit for that.

Contrast that with the Coward-in-Chief. Considering the disgusting behavior of the current administration, his cronies got off lightly. If you ask me, they should have been rounded up on the spot…

Each day Sanders lies, obfuscates and stretches the meaning of everything she touches. She is by turns combative and dismissive, and she has no reservations about stooping to use some schmaltzy anecdote in order to wrong foot the reporters or skew their line of questioning. Is that hideous visage really the public face of the White House? Yuck.

But look: this was a roast – it was supposed to be funny…and it was. Wolf didn’t say anything that was inaccurate. Pity the snowflakes who can’t laugh at themselves. Even Sean “I don’t speak good” Spicer has shown himself able to take a joke. Sanders takes herself way too seriously, because she has no sense of humor. And that’s her own fucking fault. Her job is to lie every day on behalf of tRump’s failing administration, so if she can’t stand the heat she shouldn’t have taken a job as that imbecile’s ‘spokesperson.’

The gall of a bunch of fucking fascists being upset with Michelle Wolf over a few crappy jokes – when the president has insulted women, children, people with disabilities, immigrants, the parents of dead servicemen (to name a few…) is nothing short of astounding.
