Unconscionable

Last week, the White House tried to use a passage from the Buybull to justify the vile, illegal and immoral practice of separating migrant children from their families at the US border.

“Illegal entry into the United States is a crime, as it should be,” said mock Attorney General Jeff Sessions during a speech to law enforcement officers in Fort Wayne, Indiana. “Persons who violate the law of our nation are subject to prosecution. I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained them for the purpose of order.”

Later, press secretary Sarah Huckleberry Hound Sanders defended Sessions’ comments, telling reporters “I can say that it is very biblical to enforce the law, that is actually repeated a number of times throughout [the Buybull]…I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained the government for his purposes.”

The passage reads:

“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.”

I wonder how many Republicans believed that unambiguous biblical command when it applied to Barack Obama? Funny thing, that. Biblical passages only apply when a Republican is in office, apparently.

This passage has been cited as an unequivocal order for Christians to obey state authority – an interpretation that not only justified human slavery back in the day, but also the authoritarian rule in Nazi Germany, as well as apartheid in South Africa.

Okay, I get it.

By the way, The Apostle Paul was a total asshole. Just saying.

Still, the UN human rights chief has condemned the policy of separating families as “unconscionable” – not that it matters to this demonic “administration.”

“We will not apologize for the job we do or for the job law enforcement does for doing the job that the American people expect us to do,” DHS Chief Kirstjen Nielsen told the National Sheriffs’ Association annual conference in New Orleans.

“Illegal actions have and must have consequences. No more free passes, no more get out of jail free cards.”

So my question is, when are we gonna start applying this line of reasoning to the Trump clan? I mean, if they’re so concerned about law and order and all that…

What about “zero tolerance” for TREASON? When are we gonna see that?

I will wait for my answer until Hell freezes over if necessary, to paraphrase a famous non-traitor.

Unsurprisingly, according to the New York Times, White House senior policy demon Stephen Miller was “instrumental” in convincing the “president” to enact this insane, immoral policy, which applies a “zero tolerance” approach to prosecuting undocumented immigrants caught entering the U.S. — even if that means taking children away from their parents in the process.

Miller has expressed none of the “president’s” supposed misgivings on the new policy: “No nation can have the policy that whole classes of people are immune from immigration law or enforcement,” he spewed during an interview this past week. “It was a simple decision by the administration to have a zero tolerance policy for illegal entry, period. The message is that no one is exempt from immigration law.”

Little known fun fact: seventeen Jewish groups, including J Street – called on the White House to get rid of Stephen Miller as his senior policy adviser. The organizations included American Jewish World Service, Americans for Peace Now and T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights. They issued the call in an open letter sent back in February to Trump White House chief of staff, Gen. John Kelly. The letter was spearheaded by the National Council of Jewish Women. The co-authors wrote that Miller has “extreme viewpoints and advocacy of racist policies.”

Well, Duh. Unfortunately, Stephen Miller is also probably a practicing Satanist who eats live babies for lunch, so he doesn’t give a shit what normal people say. He is a creature of pure evil.

Psychos of every persuasion can find justification for just about anything in the Buybull. It’s amazing how it always completely agrees with the person quoting it – even if they’re making the exact opposite point.

People who have to quote Buybull verses to justify their despicable acts clearly don’t have rational arguments based in reality to defend themselves with. Predictably, neocons never seem very keen on adhering to government policies or LAWS when it comes to paying ANY taxes or when they start ranting about the evils of ‘big guvmint!’

Give Caesar his due, muthafuckas! You can’t have it both ways.

Like, abortion is legal in America (for now…) but the GOP doesn’t seem to respect Roe vs Wade. What up with that? They couldn’t accept that Barack Obama’s presidency was ordained for the purpose of order just like Donald tRump (but then again, Obama was a commie-Moozlim-Kenyan-Nazi).

They can’t have it both ways. Either Jebus wants you to obey those rulers who are ordained by God…or he doesn’t.

Which is it?

What Sessions and Sanders were doing is the usual smirking code-speak to the evangelicals, who just love tRump and who are foaming at the mouth for a theocracy in America. She and Sessions know perfectly well the sort of people for whom this message was intended. Citing the bible as a reason for committing sinful acts is the ultimate denial of morals and responsibility.

Sessions and Sanders totally agree with the “administration’s” horrible policy (not a LAW), but they are too deceitful and dishonest to actually say so. So they find a suitable biblical passage and quote that instead. Hiding behind their chosen biblical snippet prevents them from having to think too deeply about things, which would make their reptile brains hurt.

Sarah Sanders spouts lies whenever her mouth opens. Vile and loathsome, she represents the new order of hyperbolic White House lies, shot out of her gaping mouth without a glimmer of remorse, empathy or moral conscience; a mirror of her narcissistic, pathologically lying boss. I’m convinced her constant lying is having an effect on her physical being. Her facial features don’t seem to understand the value of teamwork…but I digress.

Institutionalized child abuse is now official US policy. No wonder America is the ONLY NATION ON THE PLANET which refuses to sign the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Someday the people who ordered and executed this despicable policy will be prosecuted for crimes against humanity. There is no statute of limitations for such crimes. The world is the jurisdiction, and “I was just following orders” is not a valid defense. I bet the aged former Nazis who still are occasionally ferreted out and prosecuted didn’t think Justice would catch up with them, either. The “arc of history is long, but it is implacable and it bends towards justice.” (MLK).

Greed, revenge, pussy-grabbing, pathological lying, committing treason in order to take power – and now putting children in concentration camps! This is Trump and his Republican Party. This is the legacy of the “great” GOP. Anyone who votes Republican is insane. This is their legacy. This is what they have been heading for.

We are there now.
