Congress approved what the US mainstream media [MSM] is bizarrely calling a “landmark decision.” The bill received bipartisan support this week, following yet another spate of mass shootings.

“While this bill doesn’t do everything I want, it does include actions I’ve long called for that are going to save lives,” President Biden spuriously claimed.

As he signed the legislation on Saturday, a cadaverous Joe Biden said relatives of the victims expected the US government to do something. “Well, today, dad gummit, we finally did…” he added. It was the least they could do, literally.

The “reforms” include:

• Tougher background checks for buyers younger than 21
• $15bn in federal funding for mental health programs and school security upgrades
• Funding to encourage states to implement “red flag” laws to remove firearms from people considered a threat
• Closing the so-called “boyfriend loophole” by banning all those convicted of domestic abuse from owning a gun – not just those who are married to their victims or live with them.

So, in other words…virtually nothing. Once again the fake government has done a really crappy job of even pretending to care about the will of the people. The contempt Umerka’s ruling class has for its own citizens is nothing short of astounding. Yet this is what the MSM considers ‘landmark’ legislation.

Let’s be clear: this is the absolute minimum the dems could hope to pass with any chance of making it through the GOP controlled Senate.

The democrats had to personally give a hand job to every GOP leader in order to get even these paltry measures passed.

But the Republicans naturally came up with some counter-proposals of their own to ensure the compromise bill would be watered down beyond recognition. Among the proposed changes demanded by the GOP were:

• Open season on hobos;
• More training for infants and toddlers in the use of handguns;
• Lowering the legal age to purchase firearms to 8;
• Assault rifle vouchers for every citizen age 8 and above;
• Authorization of federal death squads;
• ‘Human hunting’ concessions [not specified];
• Making dueling in public legal for any reason; and finally,
• Increase in the number of immigrants members of congress can legally kill [currently 2];

So naturally you can see why we should be happy with the crumbs they threw our way…

Doing nothing – or making things worse and then lying about it instead of actually fixing the problem  – is a long standing tradition in the hallowed halls of the Pentagon, which is the US government-by-proxy, let’s face it. Oil companies and weapons makers are fundamentally unable and incapable of responding to the needs of anything except shareholder demands; and there is no desire or motivation for them to do otherwise. So they don’t even try anymore.

Way to go, fake government! Fooled us again!
