Long before “Little Green Men” or references to the “Greys” began appearing in extraterrestrial folklore – thanks in large part to books such as The Interrupted Journey and Whitley Streiber’s iconic Communion – the earliest and most celebrated UFO contactees reported interactions with beings that looked remarkably human, often described as beautiful, blonde, and “Nordic.”

In the 1950s, figures like George Adamski, Orfeo Angelucci, and George Van Tassel and Truman Bethurum claimed to have had actual physical encounters with beings from other planets. These aliens were described as tall, long-haired blondes with piercing blue eyes, wearing form-fitting jumpsuits.

Adamski claimed his first contact in 1952 was with a man named Orthon, who came from Venus.

Unlike later lurid abduction stories involving anal probes, forced pregnancies and implants, however, these Space Brothers were loving and peaceful. They warned humanity about the dangers of nuclear weapons and urged world peace. At a time when the superpowers were just beginning to build up their nuclear arsenals, they tried to warn us about global climate destruction and the madness of nuclear war.

The encounters were peaceful, spiritual, and philosophical; at times resembling some kind of new-age cosmic religion.

The Space Brothers of the 1950s were portrayed as cosmic environmentalists and peaceful messengers. They were concerned that humanity’s scientific advancement was rapidly outpacing his spiritual and moral maturity.

Many contactees claimed the aliens were drawn to Earth specifically because atmospheric nuclear testing was disrupting the cosmic fabric of space/time. The entities warned that humanity’s nuclear madness endangered not just Earth, but neighboring planets and dimensions..!

George Adamski said that Orthon came to Earth out of intense concern over nuclear radiation from atmospheric testing leaking into space. His messages frequently warned that human greed, material obsession, and warfare would lead to a total collapse of Earth’s biosphere…more than seventy years ago…

This narrative perfectly mirrored pop culture of the era, such as the 1951 film The Day the Earth Stood Still, where an alien named Klaatu delivers a peaceful yet strict anti-nuclear ultimatum. It doesn’t end well.

By the 1970s and 1980s [aided by books like Communion and films like Close Encounters of the Third Kind], the look of the “Grey” completely replaced the human-looking Nordic alien in the public consciousness.

Dr. Haim Eshed bridged the gap between 1950s “Space Brother” mythology and current government disclosure narratives when his shocking public statements went viral in December, 2020.

As a highly respected retired brigadier general and the “father of Israel’s satellite program,” Eshed shocked the scientific community by validating the core themes of the early contactee movement – benevolent intervention, cosmic oversight, anti-nuclear – but updated them for the 21st century.

In a landmark interview with the Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot and in his book, The Universe Beyond the Horizon, Eshed claimed that Earth has been in contact with an alliance of alien species known as the ‘Galactic Federation.’

According to Eshed, the United States government signed various pacts with these entities, which includes a joint underground base on Mars where American, Russian and ESA astronauts work together with alien representatives.

While Dr. Eshed’s claims sound like science fiction, they directly echo the 1950s contactee movement in two profound ways:

Just like the Space Brothers of Van Tassel and Adamski, Haim Eshed explicitly stated that these federation aliens have already covertly stepped in to prevent multiple nuclear disasters on Earth.

The 1950s aliens warned that humanity’s spiritual growth lagged behind its technology. Similarly, Eshed claimed the Federation is keeping itself secret until humans “understand what space and spaceships are,” choosing to wait until we are psychologically prepared.

Supposedly, President Trump was “on the verge” of revealing this secret, but the Federation stopped him in order to prevent mass hysteria; arguing that humanity still needs time to evolve. Amen to that!

Because of his impeccable credentials – having run Israel’s space security program for nearly 30 years and winning the ‘Israel Defense Prize’ three times – Dr. Eshed’s comments could not be easily ignored. However, because he provided no physical evidence or documents to support his claims, space agencies like NASA and official government bodies predictably met his statements with heavy skepticism, dismissing them as unverified personal beliefs, or a marketing push for his book. Unfortunately, the book is currently only available in Hebrew.

Timothy Good, a prominent British ufologist and author, asserts that Earth is being visited by multiple distinct alien races, many of which have established permanent covert bases on our planet. Good’s research spans decades of military, scientific, and intelligence testimonies to map a highly diverse extraterrestrial presence.

Unlike researchers focused solely on local lore, Good specializes in investigating the global involvement of intelligence agencies and military sectors. He sought out testimonies from civilian and military pilots, radar operators, and intelligence officials.

Good maintains that many visiting aliens look virtually identical to humans. He highlights a famous case involving Air Marshal Sir Peter Horsley [former equerry to the Royal Family], who reported a detailed, two-hour face-to-face meeting with a human-looking alien who demonstrated telepathic capabilities.

The small, bug-eyed grey beings frequently tied to modern abduction phenomena are only a small part of the phenomenon. While acknowledgment of this group is standard in ufology, Good argues that focusing on them exclusively skews the public’s understanding of how many other species exist.

Good’s research details extraterrestrials capable of blending directly into human society; occasionally acting as mysterious enforcers – commonly known as the Men in Black – to suppress public knowledge of UFO activity by any means necessary, including ‘liquidation.’

According to the high-level military and scientific whistleblowers interviewed by Good, several alien factions don’t just visit Earth; they live here – and they have lived here for a very long time in highly classified, restricted areas.

Extraterrestrials have allegedly built complex subterranean and submarine bases across the globe, allowing them to operate completely undetected by mainstream science. Good’s books, such as Alien Base, Contact, and Earth: An Alien Enterprise identify active alien installations in regions like Puerto Rico, Australia, and top-secret installations in the Nevada desert.

Good also concluded that several alien races have established formal, top-secret diplomatic relations with a select group within the US military and global intelligence community.

He presents evidence that the US government possesses intact alien craft and that we have engaged in technology transfers, allowing military physicists to test-fly reverse-engineered extraterrestrial vehicles at black-budget facilities.

Good features the case of Ludwig Pallman in Alien Base to document one of the more unusual, medically focused human-extraterrestrial encounters of the 20th century. Originally detailed in Pallman’s own long out-of-print text, UFO Contact from Itibi-Ra, the account spans continents and combines high-tech biology with spiritual philosophy.

Pallman claimed he was taken aboard their disc-shaped craft. He was shown a hidden “lost city” named Linislan located northeast of Cuzco, Peru, and he spent some time living alongside them before disappearing shortly after his book was prepared for publication.

The primary directive of the Itibi-Ra beings on Earth was medical and biological. They aimed to create botanical hybrids capable of curing human illnesses, specifically cancer. The aliens practiced a strict vegetarian, pacifist, and cooperative philosophy. They stated that society’s highest spiritual duty was protecting vulnerable populations from systemic violence.

They refrained from reproductive behavior or physical intimacy in areas of the universe where widespread biological suffering and pain existed, making human-style relationships on Earth unfeasible for them. They preached personal restraint: nothing to excess.

Pallman’s story aligns perfectly with Haim Eshed and the Space Brother narratives. These accounts all featured benevolent, human-looking aliens delivering moral, socialist, and environmental warnings to a war-torn planet.

In Earth: An Alien Enterprise, Good highlighted another case of a large group of people from several countries around the world including Argentina, Chile, Austria, France, Germany and Italy. The group called itself Amicizia [“friendship”] and the contacts spanned at least forty years.

In the mid-1970s Swiss farmer Billy Meier gained notoriety after claiming to have contacts with a beautiful blonde woman from The Pleiades, SEMJASE, who was highly critical of most of Earth humanity’s institutions – especially religion.

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, billionaire businessman and former president of Kalmykia in southwestern Russia – as well as the World Chess Federation – claimed to have been abducted while on a business trip in 1997. “They are people, like us,” he told journalists. “They have the same mind, the same vision and so on…I talked with them…I understood that we are not alone; we are not unique.”

Former Russian president Boris Medvedev claimed in a Russian TV interview that when the new president is sworn in, he is given a briefcase with the nuclear codes as well as a top-secret folder which contains a list of all known aliens currently being tracked in their territory [!!]

The argument that human-looking aliens are already inhabiting Earth is a popular theme in science fiction, ufology, and fringe theories. It relies on a mix of biological hypotheses, historical lore, and sociological observations.

The narrative of human-like visitors coming to Earth dates to the very beginning of the modern UFO phenomenon in the late 1940s and 1950s. Early contactees such as Adamski and Van Tassel did not claim to meet monstrous creatures. Instead, they described tall, blonde, beautiful, human-looking beings.

In those early accounts, the entities were always described as spiritually advanced and highly ethical. Their civilization and their technology were thousands of years ahead of ours. They supposedly traveled to Earth not to conquer, but to deliver urgent warnings about the ecological destruction of the planet and the existential madness of nuclear warfare.
