Feeding off the
artificial divisions
magnified at
the feedstore,
the beer joint,
the cattle auction;
in the produce aisle
at Kroger’s or
on the street
at night;
things have changed
So what is the end game?
what is the plan?

These people
with faults and idiocies –
bad habits
of body and mind;
they are also
your neighbors;
attacking them
will not likely get
the desired results
but trying
to understand
why they believe
what they believe
most certainly will

It takes guts, though:
courage, anyone?
or are you content
to allow the
divisions
to fester into
a condition
which can only be solved
with blood?
when you consider
how many of our neighbors
pay no mind to politics
and blithely lump everyone
into the category of “enemy”

Cheek to jowl
how times have changed:
Social Media, FACEBOOK,
the MSM, X
the real world
the latter,
corporate America
has a deeply
vested interest
in creating fear
among the hoi polloi
so that they won’t
look beyond the veil
to see the puppeteers
